LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A former University of Louisville dean is at the center of a Black History Month Celebration.

The Kentucky Commission on Human Rights has named Dr. Blaine Hudson the 55th Great Black Kentuckian.

At today's ceremony, leaders revealed an official poster of Dr. Hudson.

It will hang in a Kentucky school or library as a role model to the public.

Dr. Hudson, who died last month, is being remembered as a scholar, teacher and activist.

He fought for social change and was a lifelong Louisville resident.
