Four charged with organized crime after stolen items turn up online

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- They're accused of buying stolen items and selling them online.

Four men are charged with engaging in organized crime activities after St. Matthews police

searched a home in the 8800 block of Blue Lick Road in September

On Monday, Troy Curtis and his son, Trevor Curtis, pleaded not guilty to engaging in an organized crime syndication and receiving stolen property.

In September Trevor Curtis told WDRB that a business was being run out of the home to sell items online on eBay and Amazon but denied doing anything illegal.

"This stuff was not stolen at all," Trevor Curtis said in September. "It was bought just like anything else....I think somebody just didn't want to go to jail so they tried to point a finger at someone else."

Police say the items were stolen from Kroger and Target stores in Louisville.

David Curtis and Branden Curtis are also facing charges in the case.
