LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A new manufacturing plant is coming to Simpsonville, Kentucky.
According to a news release, Faurecia, an automobile seating manufacturer headquartered in France, plans to build a 122,000 square-foot facility there. The plant is expected to open in Feb. 2016 and employ 410 people.
"We are very pleased to begin construction at the Greenville site in Simpsonville, and to welcome hundreds of new associates from from the area to Faurecia," said Jacques Mauge, Chairman and CEO of Faurecia North America, according to a news release. "With existing Faurecia plants already producing interior systems and emissions control technologies in Louisville, our seating facility in Simpsonville expands Faurecia's company-wide commitment to this region. We are proud to be in Kentucky and to participate in the local community as a partner with Simpsonville residents."
