LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- More than 2,000 basketball teams from across the world are in Louisville this week to show off their skills on the hardcourt.
TFN's "Run 4 Roses Classic and Championship" kicked off Thursday at the Kentucky Exposition Center.
The Run 4 Roses Classic is known as the world's largest girls grassroots basketball tournament, with 2,700 teams from all 50 states and nine countries hitting the courts in front of college coaches.
"There's 10s of millions of dollars in the gym right now in college scholarship money available to these ladies," said Tucker Neale, director of the tournament. "It's truly incredible. You have every level from Division III and highs, junior colleges, all the way up to the big schools."
The Run 4 Roses Classic runs through Saturday with the championship happening Sunday through Tuesday.
A wrap-up show Tuesday will feature Justina Valentine from MTV's "Wild N'Out" and a live performance from Soulja Boy at Freedom Hall.
