LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky's governor says the state is free from "needless bureaucracy."

"Bureaucracy is the enemy of progress," Gov. Matt Bevin said in remarks he made Friday to foreign investors at the 2018 SelectUSA Investment Summit.

He continued: "Its important in Kentucky that this is a focus. If you come to Kentucky, we will get you to 'yes' or 'no' faster than anywhere else you might go. There are other excellent states but no state will move more quickly and more efficiently."

The governor also touted the state's new right-to-work law, and other economic successes.

The three-day summit is held every year in Washington D.C.
