LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Greensburg, Ky. teen was killed in a crash early Wednesday evening. 

It happened around 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 14 in Green County. Kentucky State Police say 17-year-old Kristopher Thompson was trying to pass another car on Kentucky 3-23 when the two cars "made contact."

Thompson was thrown from the car and died at the scene. Officials say Thompson he was not wearing a seat belt. 

The driver of the other car is expected to be OK.
