SCOTTSBURG, Ind. (WDRB) -- Swimming is back on at a popular lake in southern Indiana.
The swimming area at Scott County's Hardy Lake had been closed because of elevated levels of e. coli. But tests returned on Saturday show new results show contaminates are back to a safe level.
Other parts of the lake had remained open through the e. coli warning. But a blue green algae advisory remains in effect, so swimmers are being cautioned not to ingest any of the lake water.
