LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Hillbilly Tea, a downtown restaurant known for its popular brunch, has closed for business.
Owner Karter Louis says that Mother's Day was the last day of business for the restaurant.
Louis said, "We have endured a lot, being the lone eatery off the beaten path in downtown, but we have no regrets."
The five-year-old restaurant on South First Street was known for serving farm-to-table Appalachian-style food.
The Hillbilly Tea Shack on Baxter Avenue remains open for business.
