CLARKSVILLE, Ind. (WDRB) -- Southern Indiana now has its first trampoline facility.
Xtremenasium Trampoline & Ninja Challenge Park officially opened its doors in Clarksville on Sept. 12.
It's no ordinary trampoline park, however. This 20,000 square foot facility will include areas for playing dodgeball and basketball, a battle beam for jousting over a foam pit, a bouldering wall and a ninja challenge course.
It also features an obstacle course with three sections of challenges, a rock climbing wall, cardio wall, an Xtreme Foam Pit, and other Xtreme activities.
In an interview last July, Kenny Schell, the park's owner, called it “adrenaline-based entertainment. There are no family centers like this in the southern Indiana market," he said.
In a statement announcing the official opening this week, Schell said southern Indiana is ready for this kind of entertainment.
“The Louisville market is more saturated,” Schell said. “I wanted to bring the fun and entertainment to southern Indiana."
The facility also has party rooms that can be rented for birthdays, corporate gatherings and other events.
The official ribbon cutting is scheduled for Sept. 20 at 12:30 p.m., and will be hosted by One Southern Indiana.
Xtremenasium is located at 706 E. Lewis & Clark Parkway in Clarksville, Indiana. It employs six full-time and four part-time employees, and is open seven days a week.
