LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A new entrance feature at Ivy Tech Community College Sellersburg is honoring a longtime supporter while improving traffic flow around campus.
The Pat Harrison Gateway was officially dedicated Thursday in honor of Harrison, a longtime Southern Indiana real estate broker who has supported Ivy Tech students for years.
The monument represents opportunity for generations of students at Ivy Tech.
Harrison, who is originally from Louisville, has called Southern Indiana home since 1968.
She said her support for Ivy Tech comes from her belief that everyone deserves an education that can change their life.
"I am leaving something worthy of the people to receive the education that will change their lives in Southern Indiana," Harrison said.
The new gateway will serve as a lasting reminder of Harrison's support for Ivy Tech and its students.
