LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A jury finds a man accused of shooting and killing a Louisville convenience store clerk guilty of murder.Â
James Spaulding was accused of going into the Stop-N-Go on Warnock Street near U of L and killing 50-year-old Denny Davis in Feb. 2016.Â
Police say Spaulding then walked to a nearby home and started shooting while the residents inside were sleeping. Police arrested him after a chase on the Watterson Expressway and I-65.Â
A jury recommended a sentence of 33 years. Formal sentencing will happen at a later date.
