LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- New health care laws in Kentucky and Indiana are set to go into effect on this week.
Enrollment through the online Kentucky Health Benefit Exchange begins Tuesday.
More than 640,000 people will now be eligible for Medicaid or exchange coverage.
The open enrollment period runs through the end of this year, and policies will begin January 1st.
Tuesday, more than 500-thousand uninsured Indiana residents will be eligible for new insurance options.
Residents can choose from 34 health plans, and can seek help from trained workers to pick the best option.
