LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Kentucky Blood Center in Middletown will have a new home this fall.

It's moving to the corner of Beckley Station Road and Shelbyville Road.

The new building will have more space than the one KBC currently leases. Spokesperson Eric Lindsey said he hopes the new location will help attract new donors.

"It will open up some space," Lindsey said. "We'll be able to have more capacity to take donors on days that we are busy."

Officials say construction should wrap up in October. The Hillview location will stay put, and both locations in Louisville will be open Tuesday through Saturday.
