LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky's housing market hit a slowdown in October 2025, with sales sliding even as prices continued to push higher, according to Kentucky Realtors.

The state logged about $922 million in sales volume for the month — more than 27% below last year's level.

Closed listings totaled just above 200,000, marking a drop of more than 30% as fewer buyers closed deals compared with October 2024.

But the pullback in sales didn't cool prices. The median home price rose to $270,000, up nearly 2%, suggesting demand remains steady for homes that are priced competitively.

Homes continued to move quickly, spending an average of 19 days on the market. And despite the slowdown, sellers added more than 4,600 new listings in October.
