LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- University of Kentucky men's basketball coach Mark Pope recently purchased a 10,000-square-foot home inside a gated community in Lexington.
The home on The Grange Lane sold July 1 for $4.75 million, according to the deed filed with the Fayette County Property Valuation Administrator.
The house has six bedrooms, six full bathrooms, three half-bathrooms and a swimming pool. It was previously owned by Melanie Simpson-Conley, who won Miss Kentucky in 1989.
Pope was named the 23rd head coach of UK basketball history back in April. He won the 1996 National Championship as a Kentucky player under head coach Rick Pitino.
