LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Lane closures on Interstate 71 have been moved up to Wednesday night.
I-71 southbound is scheduled to be reduced to one lane from 8 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday. Construction crews will be shifting traffic to two inside lanes between KY 329 (Exit 14) and Moser Farm Road near mile marker 12.
The ramp from KY 329 to I-71 south at Exit 14 will be closed for realignment of stripping. That closure is expected to last until 6 a.m.
I-265 lane closures have been rescheduled to Thursday. The interstate will be reduced to one lane from 8 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday as crews shift traffic to the two inside lanes on I-265 northbound between La Grange Road and Westport Road.
KYTC reminds drivers going through any of these construction zones to use caution, drive slow and pay attention.
The roadwork is part of I-Move Kentucky project to improve four major sections of I-265, I-71 and I-64. It's scheduled to continue until summer of 2024.
