LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- There are scheduled lane closures on Interstate 265 this week.
Traffic on northbound lanes on the Gene Snyder Freeway between La Grange Road and Westport Road will be reduced to one lane starting at 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Crews will work on the outside lane and shoulder. The lanes are expected to reopen at 6 a.m. on Wednesday.
Then at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, I-265 north and south between La Grange Road and Brownsboro Road will be down to one lane while a barrier wall is relocated. That closure is expected to last until 6 a.m. on Thursday.
KYTC reminds drivers going through any of these construction zones to use caution, drive slow and pay attention.
The roadwork is part of I-Move Kentucky project to improve four major sections of I-265, I-71 and I-64. It's scheduled to continue until summer of 2024.
