LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — First responders tried a different career Saturday all to benefit Special Olympics.

Law Enforcement Torch Run officers and personnel from several agencies volunteered their time at Topgolf to serve as celebrity waiters and collect tips in support of local Special Olympic athletes.

Special Olympics Kentucky provides life-changing programming in sports, health, education, and leadership for more than 10,500 adults and children with intellectual disabilities at no cost to the athletes.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics is the largest public awareness vehicle and grass-roots fundraiser for Special Olympics, raising more than $1 billion since it started in 1981.
