LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville business owner was recently arrested and accused of re-selling stolen goods.
James Mueller pleaded not guilty Wednesday morning.
Louisville police were at his business Wednesday, Wholesalejims eBay Trading Assistant, on Dixie Highway. Wholesalejims eBay Trading Assistant is how the business name is listed on its legal business license.
A number of tents were set up along with yellow crime tape. LMPD said their investigation into Mueller began last month.
Officials say he's seen on surveillance purchasing stolen items like Claritin, Zyrtec, and other over the counter health and beauty products.
Mueller then allegedly sold them on his eBay store.
Police say his employees were seen moving items between three Dixie highway locations.
Detectives have recovered about $30,000 worth of stolen property so far in the investigation.
Louisville Metro Arson said a fire was set at the same business, Wholesalejims at 1:05 a.m. on June 24. According to fire officials, a significant fire was reported, and a firefighter was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators said surveillance footage shows the fire being set to the building and suspects fleeing to a waiting vehicle with a getaway driver. The vehicle was believed to be a 1987-89 two-door Nissan Pathfinder.Â
There is no word on whether the suspects were found.
Mueller's bond has been set at $50,000. He is scheduled to appear back in court on Apr. 10.
