LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville chef will compete in a new season of a show on Food Network.

"24 in 24: Last Chef Standing" returns for the second season April 27 at 8 p.m. The show features 24 talented chefs for 24 challenges over 24 straight hours. According to a news release, skill, creativity and stamina are tested.

Louisville chef Damaris Phillips is one of the competitors. According to her website, Phillips can be seen on Food Network co-hosting Southern & Hungry with Rutledge Wood and The Bobby and Damaris Show with Bobby Flay. She is also the 2013 winner of Food Network Star. She graduated from Jefferson Community and Technical College with a degree in culinary arts.

The last chef standing wins $75,000. The challenges are divided into eight shifts.

“24 in 24 is a wild ride – we knew having a culinary competition play out over 24 hours in real time would be risky, but the experiment could not have gone better and delivered our newest hit," Betsy Ayala, Head of Content, Food, Warner Bros. Discovery, said in a news release. “Season two is even more unpredictable, these chefs are using every drop of skill, confidence and adrenaline to make it through a whole new gauntlet of challenges, making this show a must-watch.”

The season finale airs May 25.
