LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The University of Louisville men's basketball team received all the feels ahead of their kickoff into the NCAA Tournament Thursday.
The team asked CardNation to show their gratitude on an open forum. In less than 48 hours, they received almost 1,000 responses.
Players were given stacks of paper, each with responses of Cardinals fans excited to see their team shining again.
"Thank you to the '25 Strong' for making me love college basketball again," one response read. "Now go out and keep making history with the whole CardNation behind you."
Another response read, "My husband and I have been together since high school. He yells at the TV a lot when the Cards are good. The better the team, the more yelling. He hasn't yelled at our TV in a long time, but he started again this year. Thank you for making my husband yell at the TV again."
The team expressed their love and thanks to their fanbase in the Facebook video, as they prepare to tipoff against Creighton on Thursday afternoon at Rupp Arena in Lexington.
Coach Pat Kelsey implemented the phrase 'Never Delay Gratitude' at the beginning of the season.
