LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville mother was arrested on Friday night after police say she abandoned four children for three days in a home without electricity.
According to an arrest report, the arrest took place shortly before 11 p.m. on Friday. Police say the aunt of the children went to the home of 28-year-old Jennifer Nunnally -- near the corner of 23rd St. and W. Magazine St. -- to check on Nunnally's children.
When she got there, she allegedly found the children -- ages 9, 5, 2 and 2 -- abandoned in the home, without electricity.
The aunt took the children to investigators. While there, police say Nunnally's 9-year-old daughter told detectives and the prosecutor that she, her 5-year-old sister and 2-year-old twin boys, had been in the house alone for three days. They did not know where their mother was, according to police.
Nunnally was arrested and charged with multiple counts of abandonment of a minor, the arrest report states.
