LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --Â Those who park along emergency snow routes in the Louisville area are asked to move their vehicles on Friday before the winter storm begins.
Officials said it's critical that crews can get through to clear roadways so police, EMS, hospitals and other emergency services can travel safely.

Louisville Metro Police released a map and list of the streets that are emergency snow routes.
LMPD said they won’t tow cars to the impound lot but will move them off the route.
The towing will begin prior to the snow falling, police said. The vehicles will be moved to the closest area that's not on the snow route.
"If you elect to keep your car parked on an emergency snow route, may the odds be forever in your favor," LMPD said in a social media post.
