LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It was Christmas in July around the Highlands on Saturday.
The Highlands Commerce Guild hosted Aglow in July on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It was held on Bardstown Road and included free trolley rides from Trolley de 'Ville. The trolleys ran from Douglass Loop to Bardstown Road and along Baxter and Barret avenues.
Some restaurants offered discounts and specials. Santa Claus even made an appearance in special tropical attire.
"It's a community aspect of family during one of the hottest days of the year, so Ho Ho Ho a Glow," he said.
The main anniversary event will be Dec. 6.
