LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man has been arrested in connection with a strong-arm robbery at an outdoor shopping center in east Louisville earlier this week.

It happened Wednesday outside the HomeGoods store at the Springhurst Towne Center located at 4201 Towne Center Drive in east Louisville, according to court documents. The victim told police a man approached her and demanded her purse, as soon as she got out of her car in the parking lot.

When the woman refused to hand over her purse, the suspect -- 27-year-old Quentin Green -- allegedly pointed what the woman believed to be a gun in his pocket at her and asked: "You really want to die for this?" according to the arrest report.

That's when Green grabbed her purse and ran for his vehicle, which was parked nearby with a person waiting in the driver's seat. The woman chased  Green and got in the vehicle, as she continued to try to get her purse back. That's when the co-defendant driving the vehicle sped off. The victim was pushed out of the vehicle, after it came to a stop.

The woman suffered a cut on her arm during the incident.

The victim's bank cards were used immediately after the robbery for a "shopping spree" at Mall St. Matthews, racking up nearly $1,500 in fraudulent charges. Surveillance video showed Green and the unknown co-defendant in at least one store inside the mall.

Investigators were able to confirm Green's identity by comparing the surveillance images to a known photo. No information is available on the co-defendant who was driving the vehicle.

Green was arrested Thursday afternoon and faces charges of complicity to robbery, complicity to wanton endangerment and complicity to fraudulent use of a credit card.

The judge raised Green's initial bond from $10,000 to $15,000 cash bond during his arraignment Friday morning. He was ordered not to return to the Springhurst Towne Center, and cannot possess firearms. His next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 4.
