LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — It was a celebration of all things Hanukkah at the Trager Family Jewish Community Center on Monday night.

Besides the music, people enjoyed traditional latkes and donuts, games, crafts and Hanukkah stories.

Mayor Craig Greenberg was there to light the Menorah, and talked about the need to celebrate this year more than ever.

"It's really unfortunate that there has been such a rise in antisemitism across our country, across our world, and so coming together with other members who are Jewish to celebrate, to show our unity, to show our love for everyone is really something special," Greenberg said.

Part of the evening was also dedicated to remembering the Israeli hostages taken by Hamas during the Oct. 7 attack.
