LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man died at the hospital after first responders said he fell "into a container" and hit his head Thursday afternoon in the 1300 block of East Main Street in Louisville.

According to Louisville Fire officials, crews were called to Louisville Trailer Wash in the Irish Hill neighborhood around 2:08 p.m. When they found the man, "a confined space rescue operation was initiated."

Crews entered the vessel at 2:31 p.m. and were able to remove the man just before 3 p.m. CPR was administered and the man was taken to the hospital where Louisville Metro Police said he died. 

No additional details were provided. LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis said the department's Homicide Unit is conducting a death investigation.
