Menards opened its doors this morning in Jeffersonville. 

The home improvement store is just off Veterans Parkway and I-65. The family-owned company started in 1958 and is headquartered in Wisconsin.

It has more than 280 home improvement stores in 14 states, including Kentucky and Indiana

It's the company's first store in the Louisville area.
