LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Multiple people were displaced Monday evening after a house caught fire in Louisville's California neighborhood.
Louisville Fire Department crews were dispatched at 5:32 p.m. to the 2600 block of Date Street and arrived to find an active fire in an occupied home, according to LFD spokesperson Donovan Sims.
Crews initiated an "aggressive fire attack," and 27 firefighters were able to bring the fire under control by 5:53 p.m.
The flames were confined to the second floor, which limited damage to the rest of the house, LFD said.
All occupants of the home were displaced as a result of the fire. LFD did not report any injuries.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
