LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Community leaders cut the ribbon this week on a new community health clinic for the homeless in Louisville.
Solutions Health, located on 1620 Arthur St., was founded by three local health care providers.
SOS International donated more than $10,000 worth of medical supplies and equipment to get the clinic up and running.
It'll focus on patients dealing with homelessness or housing insecurity. The goal is to screen and treat these high-risk patients for HIV, Hepatitis C and sexually transmitted infections.
The clinic will also provide birth control, harm reduction services and medications for those struggling with opioid abuse.
The clinic is open Sundays from 12-6 a.m., Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will add Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in December.
