LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said he may consider a run for president in 2028.
Beshear joined WDRB Mornings at the Backside of Churchill Downs Thursday as he took in all the Thurby fun.
"If you'd asked me a couple years ago if this is something I'd consider, I probably wouldn't have," Beshear said. "But I don't want to leave a broken country to my kids. So if I'm somebody who can bring this nation together, hopefully find some common ground, it's something I would consider."
Beshear said right now he's focused on being the best governor for Kentucky.
He will also be the chair of the National Democratic Caucus next year.
