LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Kentucky House bill would eliminate nontraditional instruction days for schools.
House Bill 737 would remove authorization for nontraditional instruction.
State Rep. Steven Doan, R-District 69, said his constituents are "sick and tired of the NTI days."
Ten NTI days are allowed per school year for Kentucky school districts. So far this school year, the state's largest school district, Jefferson County Public Schools in Louisville, has used five NTI days.
Doan said he feels confident that strides made to eliminate NTI altogether are gaining momentum.
Right now, HB 737 has only been introduced in the House to the Committee on Committees.
