LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Those ready to rock in Louisville are about to learn who they will be rocking to at this year's Louder Than Life music festival.

Organizers are set to release the festival's 2024 lineup at noon Wednesday. Headliners and other acts will be announced.

The annual music festival has featured groups like Metallica, the Foo Fighters and KISS in recent years.

Louder Than Life is set to take over the Highland Festival Grounds at the Kentucky Exposition Center September 26-29. Last year, the rock music festival brought in a record 180,000 people to Louisville from all 50 states and 22 countries.

The festival happens the weekend after the annual Bourbon & Beyond music festival, which runs from Sept. 19-22. This year's lineup for Bourbon & Beyond was released nearly a month ago, and includes headliners like Zach Bryan, Dave Matthews Band, Tyler Childers, Neil Young, Beck, The National, My Morning Jacket and The War on Drugs.

Other bands and artists include Whiskey Myers, Cody Jinks, Tedeschi, Trucks Band, Black Pumas, The Beach Boys, Mt. Joy, Fleet Foxes, Young the Giant, Maren Morris, The Head and the Heart, Teddy Swims and Melissa Etheridge.

Bourbon & Beyond previously announced it would add two more stages and about 40 more bands to this year's festival, as well as an expanded culinary and bourbon experience from Chris Santos, Ed Lee, Chris Blandford and Amanda Freitag.

Both festivals bring thousands of people to Louisville each year and provide a big economic boost for the city and surrounding area.
