LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Kentucky Derby 150 is only 72 days away and it's time to grab your nicest suit and gown for the event of the season.
The Kentucky Derby Museum team has been working hard at preparing the grounds for the annual Ball. This year marks 37 years of the event.
The ball is on April 26, and will be hosted at the First Turn Club at Churchill Downs to commemorate the special anniversary.
Invitations are going out this week for sponsors and past participants.
The Kentucky Derby Museum is a nonprofit organization and the annual ball is the biggest fundraiser of the year for them.
Guests will arrive to complimentary valet for the vehicle and a red carpet entrance. Everyone is considered a VIP at the event, so special treatment will be given throughout the night.
There will be dinner, live music, and dancing to make up for a very entertaining evening.
New this year, the after party will be right on the first turn of the track.
Anyone can buy a ticket, and tickets are available for purchase now on the website.
