LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two Shelbyville men could spend more than a decade in prison on federal drug trafficking and firearms offenses, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

A federal jury convicted Benjamin Quintero Martinez, 31, and Rodolfo Reyes Martinez, 27, of possessing with the intent to distribute fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine, possessing firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking, and possessing firearms as convicted felons, according to a news release.

The Shelbyville men aided and abetted each other, possessed with intent to distribute over a kilogram of fentanyl, including possession of a pill press used to manufacture illicit pills containing fentanyl, more than 200 grams of methamphetamine and more than 200 grams of cocaine, according to court documents. The evidence was presented at a Dec. 2022 trial.

They also possessed seven firearms.

Both men are scheduled for sentencing Sept. 25, 2025.

Quintero Martinez faces a mandatory sentence for 20 years, while Reyes Martinez faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years. Both face a maximum sentence of life in prison.
