LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A third juvenile has been charged in connection with a double shooting in Louisville's Russell neighborhood.
Louisville Metro Police said a 14-year-old female was arrested Tuesday and charged with complicity to assault in the May 30 double shooting.
The teen's arrest is the third in the case. On June 27, police said a 13-year-old girl was arrested and charged with two counts of assault. Then, on June 30, a 12-year-old girl turned herself in. She was also charged with two counts of assault.
The shooting happened in the 1500 block of West Chestnut Street around 5:30 p.m. May 30, LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said in a statement at the time.
Once on scene, officers found two juvenile girls who had been shot. Mitchell said both were transported to University of Louisville hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.
Police said they believe all suspects have now been charged in the shooting.
