LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A southern Indiana man faces charges after allegedly being involved in a hit-and-run crash Sunday with a horse and buggy.
In a news release Monday, the Clark County Sheriff's Office said police responded around 6:30 p.m. to the crash between the buggy and another vehicle on US Route 31 near Henryville.
When deputies arrived, they found the vehicle that hit the buggy had left the scene. The person driving the buggy was transported to the hospital with injuries.
The sheriff's office was able to identify the suspect driving the truck that left the scene. Wade Roberts, 61, of Henryville, was arrested Monday. He was taken to the Clark County jail.
Sheriff Scottie Maples said this crash demonstrates how drivers should use caution when operating vehicles near horse-led vehicles.
