LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A southern Indiana man died in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday in Scott County.
In a news release Wednesday, Indiana State Police said the Sellersburg Post was notified by an automated Apple Watch alert that there was a possible crash around 3:30 p.m.
When ISP arrived to the location on South Boatman Road near West Lake Road, Sgt. Tracy Spencer found a gray 2014 Chevrolet Cruze that had hit a tree.
The investigation determined that the car was traveling south on Boatman Road when the driver lost control, crossed into the northbound lanes and hit a tree.
The driver, 48-year-old James C. Lasher, of Underwood, Indiana, was died at Scott County Memorial Hospital, according to ISP.
No one else was in the car. Investigators believe a medical event may have initiated the crash.
