LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A young Kentucky boy got a surprise visit from his favorite superhero on Thursday.
Aydan, from Boston, Kentucky, is battling leukemia and recently got out of the hospital.
"Well he got diagnosed with leukemia in last November, but the chemo wasn’t taking the cancer away so he had to have a bone marrow transplant," Haley Fogle, Aydan's mom, said.
Kevin Parrett, from Elizabethtown, is known as the local "Spider-Man" also known as "Peter Parker."
"I’m going to go and make sure he has a good day today and see Spider-Man, who's also his favorite superhero," Parrett said.
Parrett, along with the Boston Fire Department, drove to Aydan's home to surprise him.
"We’re going to head to the home and he’s not going to expect us," Parrett said. "He thinks it’s going to be a Halloween parade, but of course it’s going to be Spider-Man coming out."
"We were very excited to have them come out and support him," Fogle said.
Even though Aydan was a little shy, seeing Spider-Man put a smile on his face.
"And it’s just something small I can do to help him feel better," Parrett said. "Everybody enjoys happiness, and I’m just trying to bring some of that to him. So hopefully that smile will show that he is warm in the heart and he is happy to see Spider-Man today. His favorite superhero."
