ISP investigating Orange County inmate death

54-year-old Jeanne Ross was found unresponsive Saturday in her cell at the Orange County jail in Paoli.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An inmate from the Orange County Jail died over the weekend.

Indiana State Police says on December 30th, officers found 54-year-old Jeanne Ross of Mooresville, Indiana, unresponsive in her cell. Officers immediately tried to help Ross until EMS arrived. Emergency personnel were unable to revive her and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy was conducted Sunday morning through the Orange County Coroner's Office. Results are still pending, along with toxicology results.

Indiana State Police is investigating.
