LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A new survey shows Kentuckians face significant challenges getting health care, even with insurance.
The study, which surveyed a little more than 1,000 adults in 2024, found 87% of uninsured people and 55% of insured people delayed or skipped medical care because of the cost.
The survey also showed 69% reported at least one challenge in getting health care coverage.
The study was funded by the Asclepius Initiative, a nonprofit pushing for a universally accessible, affordable and high-quality health care system.
