LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Some of them owe more than a hundred thousand dollars in back child support. And today, the county attorney's office printed their names.

WDRB.com has published the names of people who are allegedly behind on their child support payments for the year 2012 in Jefferson County, Ky.

These names were provided to WDRB.com by the County Attorney's Office in Jefferson County, Ky.

We picked 15 names off the list at random, and went door to door to see who we could find. Many people turned us away, others denied they were on the list all together.

The list has 2,890 names of people who owe a collective $43 million in back child support.

Some owe upwards of $200,000 and several are on the lower end of the spectrum.

County Attorney Mike O'Connell says this is one of the most successful ways to collect child support.

He urges the public to read the list, then call the attorney's office at (502) 574-0821 with location information.
