LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A pedestrian hit by a vehicle near Jeffersontown Wednesday night has died.
Officers were called to Hurstbourne Parkway at Bunsen Parkway around 9:40 p.m. on a report that a person had been hit by a vehicle, according to Louisville Metro Police Spokesperson Dwight Mitchell.
That's not far from Taylorsville Road, and the intersection leading to Bluegrass Parkway.
Once on scene, police found a pedestrian who had been hit. They were transported to University of Louisville Hospital in critical condition, Mitchell said.Â
An LMPD spokesman confirmed on Friday that the pedestrian had "succumbed to their injuries" hours after the incident.Â
Mitchell said "all parties" stayed at the scene.Â
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office will release the name of the pedestrian once notifications are made.Â
