LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Male High School students got a lesson in love, perseverance and anti-bullying Wednesday compliments of X Games athletes.

It's part of the "No Hate Bullying Prevention Action Sports High School Tour." The program sends top X Games athletes to perform high-energy stunts on BMX bikes at high schools across the country. The goal is to provide students with critical bullying prevention tools and mental health awareness, techniques, and information in an entertaining way they can relate to.

Many students were on their feet screaming as participants performed acrobatic aerial feats on their bikes. The entertainment came with a big message -- even bigger than some of the BMX tricks they saw.

With ramps set up, bikers expertly flew, flipped and spun through the air as students clapped and screamed.

Tour speakers held students' attention after their high-flying acrobatics by weaving in impactful stories of love, support, perseverance and messages on how to cope with bullying.

The bikers shared their own personal stories with students as well -- stories like standing up to bullying by focusing on their passions instead.

"Adversity is going to happen either way," said tour manager Dan Sieg. "You can't control those circumstances; however, you can control your focus on the thing that you enjoy doing, and that helps you block out that negativity."

One high point in the exhibition happened when Male High school's own Mrs. Calebs got involved. Sitting at the top of one of the ramps she gave one of the bikers a target with her arms stretched out as the biker sailed right over her head.

Sieg said the excitement of of the show helps break up the monotony for kids so the message of love and hard work might sink in a little better.

The program has visited more than 3,000 schools across the country during the past 25 years to spread the message of the "No Hate" campaign.

The No Hate Tour heads to Cincinnati next, adding to the nearly 3 thousand schools they've visited over 25 years. CLICK HERE for more information.
