Road opens to vehicular traffic in Cherokee Park

A man removes a "Road Closed" sign, opening a Cherokee Park roadway to vehicular traffic on June 28, 2021. It is the first time that part of the park has been open to vehicular traffic since April 2020.

Instead of walking up a hill to get to places like Hogan's Fountain, visitors can drive there.
The meeting is planned to go from 5:30 to 8 p.m., with a presentation at 6 p.m., at Hogan's Fountain Pavilion.
Starting Monday, cars will be allowed to go through the Cherokee Park Scenic Loop for the first time since April 2020.
