The deadline is being extended because of the February flooding that ravaged parts of the state. 

Beshear said the flooding and cold temperatures are now responsible for 23 deaths in Kentucky. 

Parts of Kentucky received up to six inches of rain from Feb. 15-16 as freezing temperatures hit the region. Counties around the state faced flooding issues because of the storms.

Thursday, Gov. Andy Beshear said the money will help repair water infrastructure. 

KHS' CARE-a-van mobile clinic is set up in Hazard, Kentucky, providing free spay and neuter surgeries, vaccines and microchips.

The students are coming together, on the break from school, to serve and try to change some lives.

On Saturday, nearly 200 search and rescue crews gathered to comb about 12 miles of the North Fork of the Kentucky River in search for Vanessa Baker. 

A body found on the bank of an eastern Kentucky creek has been identified as a missing flood victim, a coroner said.

The bookcases, cafeteria tables, desks, chairs, and more are headed to Hindman Elementary School in Knott County.
