Two men are dead after a FedEx semi crashed on a highway ramp early Thursday morning in Louisville, according to Louisville Metro Police.

A Louisville man wanted on robbery charges was arrested Friday afternoon after leading Indiana State Police on a pursuit that ended on the Kennedy Bridge.

Drivers who use the Kennedy Bridge should brace for a longer detour.

Workers will be replacing concrete slabs along the interstate.

The lanes will close the evening of Friday, Nov. 7, as crews continue work on a bridge joint replacement project.

Drivers should follow restrictions and use caution while going through the work zone.

The left and center lanes of I-65 South near hospital curve will be closed until around 7 p.m. 

The repairs come about three months after a steel coil fell off an 18-wheeler in March, damaging the interstate near the Broadway overpass just south of the bridge.

Three of the six lanes on the Interstate 65 South bridge were shut down for inspections and preventative maintenance on Monday.
