Plans for a "Community Care Campus" were announced in January at a site near old Louisville at Brook and Breckenridge Streets.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Those who knew Louisville's latest homicide victim said she was helpful, generous, and many referred to her as "mom."

On Wednesday morning, the White Flag was flying at Wayside Christian Mission downtown. 

Plans to clear a downtown homeless camp have been put on hold. 

The site off 9th and Market is set to be cleared Thursday, Nov. 4 at 8 a.m.

Their eyes are on the roughly $340 million Louisville scored in the American Rescue Plan.

Homeless advocates said they were blindsided by the city's action, and that most people lost their belongings amid below-freezing temperatures.
