A death investigation is underway after Louisville Police's River Unit recovered a body Monday from a car that went into the Ohio River on Saturday.

The body was found near the Louisville shoreline just after 10 a.m.
The man has been identified as 36-year-old Timothy Edward Spaulding, according to a news release.
The LMPD Homicide Unit is investigating the case.
