While Louisville's overall homicide rate is improving — dropping from 93 homicides this time last year to 62 so far this year — the trend hasn’t extended to youth victims.
It happened around 7 a.m.
According to court documents, 43-year-old Delanie Nolen was arrested by officers with the Louisville Metro Police Department on Sunday afternoon.
The Louisville Metro Police Department investigated 160 homicides in 2022, and already this year, there have been seven homicides in six days.
The LMPD Homicide Unit is investigating.
After six homicides this past weekend, 2022 has become the third-deadliest year in Louisville Metro's history.
Christopher 2X says 10 people were killed in August, while another 43 victims were wounded by non-fatal gunfire.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office, that man has been identified as Dennis Kos.
LMPD says there have been 151 homicides in 2021 including Saturday night's murder on Lentz Avenue.
